Peak Pursuit Route

Peak Pursuit will have a staggered start (from 7am to 8am). As a participant, you will be given a start time in the weeks before the event – please look out for details about your start time, as well as tracking information.

Peak Pursuit offers a variety of routes – there are five in total – which differ in both distance and ascent. All routes set off from Hope Showground (what3words: ///condition.superhero.cooks), with the exception of the wheelchair route. The routes that start at Hope Showground follow very similar footpaths – which means that teams with members who have chosen different routes, can still start together.

For those starting in Hope – all routes will take you through well-marked footpaths. Each route will also be marked with coloured tags.

All routes from Hope will let you take in the sights of Mam Tor, the great ridge, Back Tor and Lose Hill. You can also – depending on the route you choose – take in the beauty of Bamford Edge and Win Hill.

The Purple Route (which is our wheelchair accessible route) starts and finishes at Lady Bower Visitor Centre (where one of our checkpoints will be located), and takes you on a footpath that wraps around Lady Bower Reservoir.

For more information about the specifics of each route, please access the table and interactive map below.
