About the Challenge
Saturday 18th January 2025
After the success of the 2024 Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge, we were thrilled and excited to announce our next adventure - the London Bridges Walk, which was held on Saturday, January 18, 2025. This family-friendly challenge offered two exciting routes: a 25km walk or a 15km walk through the heart of London, crossing all the iconic bridges.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for making the Public Sector Challenge, London Bridges Walk a resounding success! If you were a participant or volunteer on the day, thank you so much for getting the job and challenge done. You were all amazing!
This event, being our first in London, attracted nearly 700 people and a few dogs, despite the lack of hills or mountains, though there were a few bridges!
Thanks to your incredible efforts, we have raised a significant amount of funds (we will share the total very soon as funds are still coming in) for our two charities, Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation, which will go a long way in supporting research to find cures for these diseases.
We also want to acknowledge our amazing sponsors, especially our Main Sponsor Everyone Active and our Medal Sponsor Digital Modus, whose generous support made this challenge possible. Their commitment to supporting the challenge and promoting health and well-being is deeply appreciated.
Together, we have not only achieved our fundraising goals but also highlighted the importance of physical activity and mental health awareness at an especially difficult time of year. Your participation and support have shown that when we come together as a sector and with our partners, friends, and family members, we can overcome any challenge.
Thank you once again for your dedication and generosity to such important causes. We look forward to seeing you in the Peak District on Friday, September 5, for our Peak Pursuit Challenge, or back in London for 2026 with some exciting additions!
