Accessibility Statement for Public Sector Challenge, Managed by Cratus.
This accessibility statement applies exclusively for https://publicsectorchallenge.co.uk/ and covers all content, imagery and functionality sitewide.
Rubber Duckiee (Web agency) oversees technical accessibility and updates for the Public Sector Challenge website. Their responsibility is to ensure compliance with WCAG guidelines at a technical (code) level. However, it’s important to note that content and imagery fall under the purview of Cratus, the managing company.
Rubber Duckiee has put maximum effort into making the Public Sector Challenge website accessible to everyone across multiple devices and technologies.
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website and be able to understand the content to get the best experience possible out of the functionality as originally designed.
As an example, this means you should be able to complete the following:
- Zoom in without text spilling off the screen, or elements becoming inaccessible
- Navigate the majority of the site using just the keyboard, or touch input where required.
- Listen to the majority of core elements and content on the site using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver).
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible is this website?
Every care has been taken to try and make our website as accessible as possible, the majority of our website is accessible but there are a couple of areas to be aware of including but not limited to:
- The video on our homepage autoplays on page load.
- You can not modify the line height, spacing or contrast of fonts on the website by default.
- External links open in a new tab / window
The video on our homepage has no play controls which can be used to pause the video, it also does not contain any audio.
Rubber Duckiee has designed all layouts with contrast and font sizing in mind to suit all audiences and requirements; if adjustments are required third party tools are available but this is not something we offer by default for our visitors.
Rubber Duckiee has also added relevant Aria Labels where required to clearly label links internal and externally in relation to the website.
How do we test accessibility?
